Account Manager

Team Description & Purpose of Role

In this client facing role, the holder is responsible and accountable for the financial performance, service delivery and developing long term strategic growth on medium to large, important and/or telecom/hosting contracts, or group of contracts. In addition, responsibilities may cover a large sub-element of these contracts i.e : move/change/close lines, routers, locations,etc….. He/she would typically provide the primary point of contact to the client and involve the Sales specialists able to deal on any new opportunity.

Job Responsibilties

 To maintain and develop customer relationships at CIO/CEO level, customer satisfaction, delivering contract commitments within cost targets, overall profit of contract, revenue growth, and accountability for contractual service levels.
 To oversee client business, manage relationships and contract management delivery.
 Develops successful and sustainable long term business relationships with clients.
 Typically, to lead an individual contract but may operate in support of a Senior Account Manager or Sales Specialist on any of Interoute largest or strategically important Products : Uconn, Ucomp, Ucomm.

Business Impact:
 Significant accountability and responsibility for the financial and business performance of a significant single contract, large sub-element or group of smaller contracts. The loss of such a contract or group of contracts would significantly affect Interoute’s credibility in the external Telecom and Hosting market sand financial performance within the specified sector within the short to medium term.

Authority/Decision Making:
 The Contract Manager or Customer Service Account Manager would be responsible and accountable for the revenue (invoiced revenue, Incremental Invoice revenue, Margin increase).
 Owns customer relationship.
 Working within Service Delivery and Customer support for day to day operations

Experience Required

 Typically qualified to postgraduate level or equivalent in business discipline.
 5y experience in telecom or hosting sector

Skills/Experience:
 Business & commercial experience including detailed understanding of P&L management.
 A real customer relationship skills, able to quickly build and maintain relationships at the most senior levels both externally and internally.
 Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills
 English/ French
