This role fits under the Corporate/Enterprise line of business which currently has a team of 8/9. This position will report directly into the Country Manager in the first instance but will change going forward due to 2012 structure change.
Job Responsibilties
The purpose of the role is to drive hosting (Ucomp) sales in the UK. Whilst other services may be sold, the leading pitch and majority of the business generated from this position must be from the Interoute Managed Hosting service portfolio.
In order to achieve this the successful candidate will be required to:
• Build a prospect pipeline from a standing start via own initiatives.
• Work with marketing to drive further prospecting initiatives.
• Provide full visibility of business potential through the Siebel Opportunities reporting tool.
• Provide timely and accurate business forecasts.
• Maintain an up to date and accurate movement plan in Outlook.
• Work with Product Management and Pre-Sales to create sound proposals
• Work to achieve financial based targets set
Additionally the hosting specialist will be asked to work with VPN specialists to drive hosting sales in their existing account base, and to work with VPN specialists to land VPN business in his/her own prospect/account base. There is a reward share scheme in place.
Experience Required
A minimum of 5yrs hosting frontline sales experience is required with evidence of hitting or exceeding targets.
Success in landing hosting business with a contract value of €500K is essential.
Whilst not a technical pre-sales role a good understanding, proven success of selling solutions that include the following is required:

Person Specification
A highly proactive self-starter. Needs appropriate gravitas and credibility to drive the organisation to support and deliver competitive, technically viable solutions to the customer. Good existing database of target customers is essential.
