Appliance Development Engineer

Interoute is creating an appliances development group to integrate into its Virtual Data Centre product. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, testing and supporting new appliances for release into the marketplace. As part of the role you will also be responsible for aiding customers with platform issues due to lack of knowledge or mis-configuration. This role is ideal for someone who wants to experience a wide variety of applications, from network management through to web-servers and market place appliances

• Understanding of a wide range of technologies
• Design, development and execution of test plans for the relevant appliances and new software releases.
• Appliance selection based on requirements from product development group
• Support customer using the Interoute marketplace
• Liaise with suppliers across the world, help to understand the Interoute vision

• Experience of testing software programmes
• A background in software/technology development
