Power and Facility Engineer Benelux

Field Engineering team Benelux, Reporting to manager Field Operations.
The power & facitily engineer has to conduct site surveys and meet contacts like business managers, construction crew members, utility company personnel, and people from other departments

Responsible for repairing and replacing defective parts in generators, storage (UPS & DC) batteries, controllers, all kind of power boards, switches, fire detection and extinguishing and other electrical fixtures.
Performing preventive repair and maintenance of field, plant, and DC electronic and electrical systems, devices, equipment and components.
To work closely to FLM teams, ensuring PPM are carried out in a controlled and correct manner.
To develop and negotiate supporting documentation to contracts, including SLAs and Operational Procedures documents.
To provide operations support on a 24x7 basis in the case of emergency situations that cannot be dealt with by Central Operations or service suppliers.
Installing enhancements and major upgrades to plant electrical systems.
Utilizing specialized digital cameras and thermo graphic imaging to perform infrared analysis and examination of field equipment.
Preparing schedules and coordinating activities with other divisions and sections.
Planning and laying work orders or work from instructions, using sketches, blueprints, and drawings.
Must coordinate between the maintenance/operations department and principals in order to provide maximum facility comfort and at the same time reduce energy consumption
To ensure good quality handover to network operations
Schiphol-Rijk and Brussels office.
To manage building security, environmental systems and access procedures across the region.
Identify and address issues that affect security, reliability or maintainability
Ensure regular site and network audits are completed as required
Manage and maintain locally held equipment including test equipment.
Responsible for customer specific power/rack setup inside the datacenter and our colocations.

Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Telecommunications or an Engineering discipline preferred
Educated to degree standard or equivalent
5 years experience in the field of network build, multi-site project management and implementation, as well as completing commercial negotiations with suppliers and contractors.
Must have experience of working in a critical services environment.
Preferred have experience of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)

Good understanding of all aspects of technical building construction and systems (power, airco, fire suppression, security etc) in the telecom/datacenter environment
Prefered NEN3140 cert. or equivalent.
Knowledge of real estate and network infrastructure essential
